The past 12 hours have been so cool.  I can’t believe I can hold the record in my hands now.  I listened to it through my big speakers with some friends.  I’ve yelled and jumped and danced about it both in real life and with some amazing people online.  I’m just so happy that it’s here and that it’s amazing and that people are buying it and loving it and IT’S NUMBER TWO ON THE ITUNES CHARTS NOW.  It’s only behind A FREAKING DELE.  SHE WON LIKE FOUR MILLION GRAMMYS.

Hey guys it’s Adam from sometime around the beginning of February when we started ENIEW.

I CAN’T WAIT FOR SOME NIGHTS TO COME OUT OH MAN I BET IT’S GONNA BE AMAZING.  Prediction: Some Nights will be at the top of the itunes charts for a long while (HIGHER THAN ADELE WHO WON FOUR BILLION GRAMMYS) AND We Are Young will be the first song by a multi-membered rock group to top the Billboard Hot 100 for over 10 years. Also I bet that they’re gonna sell out 2 shows in NYC in June but don’t worry cause I’ll get a ticket to the first one.  Don’t believe me?  Well just wait and see.  This is such a great idea that Avery had I can’t wait to see it all come together I really hope that this brings the fun. fam closer together cause that’d be cool.

I love fun. and I bet you that on March 16, 2012 I’ll still really love fun. and I’ll be so damn proud of them.  

wait Avery I’m sad this didn’t make it into the book…

I was so sad too. I couldn’t fit it thought because it would have needed it’s own page and you already had like 18 or something.

Here are my thoughts about the events of the night.

I honestly feel like this is an attempt to one-up ENIEW. Regardless of if that is logical or not, that’s how I feel. It wasn’t my intention to stir up trouble, I’m just genuinely frustrated by the situation. I feel like I have the right to be. I just gave the band ENIEW on Monday. That’s like 4 days ago… and now it’s being done again? That really blows. They were so thrilled about this project and Jack already knew what was happening as soon as I walked into the dressing room. Jack and Andrew flipped through every page while Nate ranted about how excited he was to be able to sit down and actually read every single post. He even mentioned multiple times that he wanted to make copies and turn it into a coffee table book. They seemed like they were proud of ENIEW because as Jack said their whole career was right in front of their eyes. Jack also discussed how much it meant that the book was made by a group of fans that stood out as being very loyal and always willing to stand up for the band and defend them, especially through all of their recent success. All of the boys agreed when saying it was probably the most meaningful thing a fan had ever given them. Nothing can take that experience or the things they said to me away from me, but when you invest so much of yourself in a project and then the steam is taken away from it, you can’t really help but be frustrated - at least I can’t.

Just bear with me here. I’m not responding to anymore hate about this. This is just what I’m feeling. I have a right to feel these things and express them… that’s what having a blog is for. Hopefully this post helps some of you see things from my perspective as well and understand that I don’t think I’m better than other fun. fans, I just put a lot into that project and kind of feel betrayed. I can’t control it. That’s just how it is. So yeah, I’m pissed, but I can’t really do anything about the situation so let me vent and get it out and life will go on. I still had a great experience with my three idols and know that they will cherish ENIEW and that their coffee tables will never be lonely again.
