Queen’s Hot Space and fun.’s Aim and Ignite poster
Are you kidding me? Stop taking songs I like and ruining them.
Fuck.
No one even liked Fun. before, even when I showed them Aim and Ignite. It comes on in a Chevy commercial and now it’s everywhere. I heard one of their songs in Hot Topic recently. WHY IN THE HELL ARE THEY ON IN HOT TOPIC?!?!? I’m no fucking hipster that starts hating music just because it goes mainstream or anything, but it does piss me off when no one likes the band until it goes mainstream despite having been exposed to them and then changing their tune when it’s popular. And a big ol’ NO to anything I like being in Hot Topic, they take everything and fuck it all up.
Fuck Glee for having to take “We Are Young” and fucking it all up on their shitty graduation album. All that they are is Kids Bop: The Later Years.
I just…
Ugh I dunno…

I was just on twitter and I was looking at what people were tweeting at fun. and i saw a few people calling them “sellouts” awh hell no
that is not okay, or correct as a matter of fact. changing their style from one album to the next does not make them “sellouts”. being liked by more than just a small audience does not make them “sellouts”. There is not a single thing about fun. that makes them sellouts. They’re honest and passionate and true to what they do and what they stand for. So stop calling them something they clearly are not.
I love that there are people that can get stuff right every once in a while

I think fun. may just be my new favorite band. I heard We Are Young on the radio last month (maybe earlier), bought the single, and listened to it non-stop for like a week. Then a friend of mine lent me the album Some Nights and I listened to that non-stop for a while. Then, yesterday I went to Best Buy and happened to stumble upon their first album, Aim and Ignite. I’ve been listening to it, again, non-stop ever since.
I seriously can’t even pick a favorite song. They’re all so wonderful and every time I think I found a favorite track, the next one starts playing and I fall in love with it. Their songs are so cathartic, so therapeutic. They’re very honest, like every song is a diary entry.
